In reality vehicles can run on WATER and very efficiently as HYDROGEN is an unlimited resource.  Also SOLAR ENERGY is expanding all over the place to the point where SOLAR POWER PLANTS are being constructed.  Keep an eye on this activity as the desire for FOSSIL FUELS is dying and CRUDE OIL is expected to lose even more demand as prices fall further.  The entire COAL, NATURAL GAS, and CRUDE OIL industry is beginning to fall out of favor:
