The EF5 TORNADO WAKE UP CALL
JUST BUILD MORE STORM SHELTERS and SHUT UP ABOUT IT!
After this EF5 TORNADO hits Moore, Oklahoma we now have the MEDIA and THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT lurking to create more LAWS, STATUTES, and ORDINANCES. Senator Tom Coburn (R-OK) says to leave it up to the State level to decide what to do in these structures. There have indeed been improvements made in many schools across Oklahoma for storm reinforced areas and Tom Coburn said "...Oklahomans aren't stupid."
It also looks like the Mayor of Oklahoma City and the Mayor of Moore have been discussing the possibility of making new building codes for new construction to have MANDATORY STORM SHELTERS built in.
If you're a STORM CHASTER/STORM TRACKER like I am you understand the importance anywhere in the USA for having a storm shelter. We've lived without a basement for years and have finally constructed a shelter for ourselves also. Wise people will build shelters in schools, places of business, mobile home parks, homes, etc.
Just BUILD MORE STORM SHELTERS and shut up about it! Keep the government out of it and make your own good decisions. The GOVERNMENT might suggest it but leave the final decision to the locals there. I'm sure they get the picture now---finally.
