This is very confusing and probably by design
Now we are hearing that police should have the right to confiscate firearms from anyone who is deemed to be a threat to themselves or someone else.
All of the sudden we have what appears to be law enforcement becoming mental health evaluators to do a "competency evaluation" and be able to make a prediction on someone's mind to confiscate their guns?
Half of Manhattan are on psychotropic drugs?
In this report it is reported by this CNN Legal Contributor, Paul Callan that half the population of Manhattan are on psychotropic drugs. I found that to be quite a statistic which should tell you about New York City. Wonder if Bloomberg is on drugs?
Anyway this report is strange and the CNN Legal Contributor, Paul Callan answers the anchorwoman with a very strange response regarding this law when he is asked is this significant if this becomes law. He answers thus: "Well it's significant in that it will destroy any movement toward gun control or gun regulation in this country. This is the worst nightmare of everybody who favors the Second Amendment and I'll tell you why: What this law would do is it would put in law enfocement hands the idea of deciding whether you are mentally ill or not and then making a decision of whether your weapons should be seized..."
