What is a Pastor?

Does he lead a "church" in Jeremiah?

Are they MALE or FEMALE?

How many should there be?

Which ones are the one's God ordained?

The word PASTOR:

In the HOLY BIBLE the Authorized (King James) Version the word pastor is used only one time in the entire text:

As for me, I have not hastened from being a pastor to follow thee: neither have I desired the woeful day; thou knowest: that which came out of my lips was right before thee.

-JEREMIAH 17.16

The word PASTORS:

In the HOLY BIBLE the Authorized (King James) Version the word pastors is used 7 times in 7 verses in JEREMIAH and only one time in the NEW TESTAMENT EPISTLE OF EPHESIANS:

The priests said not, Where is the LORD? and they that handle the law knew me not: the pastors also transgressed against me, and the prophets prophesied by Baal, and walked after things that do not profit.

-JEREMIAH 2.8

And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding.
-JEREMIAH 3.15

For the pastors are become brutish, and have not sought the LORD: therefore they shall not prosper, and all their flocks shall be scattered.

Many pastors have destroyed my vineyard, they have trodden my portion under foot, they have made my pleasant portion a desolate wilderness.

Why were all these apostles, prophets, evangelists, and some, pastors and teacher given?  The answer is found in EPHESIANS 4.12 and the verses following.  So how are we doing?  Are we in the UNITY OF THE FAITH?

For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:
Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:
That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;
But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:
From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.
-EPHESIANS 4.12-16

So how are we all doing CHRISTIANS?  Are we doing well today?
