Does anyone else feel this way?
Should we even care anymore?
What can we possibly do as Christians here in America (or the world) anymore?
Lately I feel like the man of a multitude of failures. Even this "The News UNIT" page seems to be useless and to many they claim it is but the poll to keep it alive still reigns. There's no money in it for those of you that think there is and I know of people who avoid going to it on the web because they think I'm getting some kind of benefit.
I guess the news today is beginning to make me more cynical and I'm almost at the point where I don't care anymore. Even if I do care what can I do? I have no money to give which is needful today because that's the current display of power when it comes to accomplishing anything. And don't let Christians tell you it isn't otherwise pastors of churches wouldn't ask for your "tithe" or "offerings" either. Seems they know money is needed and they usually need everyone's money more and more.
So who can do more for God now than people like Joel Osteen in Houston, Texas who gets multi-millions in just donations or other pastors and large scale ministries and schools and even colleges under the name of Christian organizations? There are many of them but what are they doing? Are they preaching the gospel of Christ? Or is there a new message now of prosperity and positive thinking?
So I'm leaving my thoughts and cogitations right there for now. But recently I found a nugget of truth in a message that's probably not too popular and may be considered under the category of "right wing extremist" or probably more like a "bible thumping Christian." Either way this message is one that won't make much money or create a line of many books. And here is that message:

For the rest of you Christians (if there are any left) you can seek unto them that sell to you and buy now. Buy their latest book and join their "subscription services" or whatever else they sell to you. And be sure to give them donations also to keep you in right standing with their God and help them expand their auditorium style churches that look like it's a place for a Rihanna concert.
As to who to vote for to make America great again I don't know the answer. I'm just hoping that we who are in Christ Jesus can live a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. That's all I want to do:
Two things have I required of thee; deny me them not before I die:
Remove far from me vanity and lies: give me neither poverty nor riches; feed me with food convenient for me:
Lest I be full, and deny thee, and say, Who is the LORD? or lest I be poor, and steal, and take the name of my God in vain.
--PROVERBS 30.7-9
I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;
For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;
Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.
Whereunto I am ordained a preacher, and an apostle, (I speak the truth in Christ, and lie not;) a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and verity.

And one final note of caution: Beware of all the false teachers out there on You Tube and everywhere else who seek to make merchandise out of you for filthy lucre's sake. There are many of them:
But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.
And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.
And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.
--II PETER 2.1-3
