Men do not despise a thief, if he steal to satisfy his soul when he is hungry;

Do We the People always do what's right?  ANSWER:  NO.

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:

--ROMANS 3.23-24

So we are all sinners and we all have sinned.  But there is grace, mercy, and peace available to even the chief of sinners:

This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.

--I TIMOTHY 1.15

And so:  Another opportunity to preach the gospel of Christ:

So there's your small lesson on the gospel of Christ.  In fact is shows how God is really not some tyrant who has a message of damnation but rather right now a dispensation of grace, mercy, and peace is available to all of them that believe on the Lord Jesus Christ.  Only you must be a sinner to receive this.  If you're not a sinner then no one can help you:
