What FALSE DOCTRINE this is!
QUESTION FOR Gregg Jackson:
Who are those who preach what you call WORKS HERESY? Can you name one of them? You never name anyone...
Who dares to tell me that this man knows any scripture other than how to wrest it to his own destruction and to the subverting of the hearers?
Of these things put them in remembrance, charging them before the Lord that they strive not about words to no profit, but to the subverting of the hearers. -II TIMOTHY 2.14
Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.
And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you;
As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.
Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness.
But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.
Here is the bottom line with how Old Testament saints were saved & most likely my final thoughts on the topic.
The Bible, in BOTH the OT & NT, EXPLICITLY, DEFINITIVELY & UNAMBIGUOUSLY states that Abraham's faith ALONE was credited to him as righteousness.
"Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness." (Romans 4:3 & Genesis 15:6)
So, if justification for OT saints was by faith AND works (perfect obedience to the law, animal sacrifice etc...) which some Bible teachers INCORRECTLY assert, then what The Super Apostle Paul (who received The Gospel directly from the Lord Jesus Christ) teaches & states by inspiration of the Holy Spirit in Galatians 3, Romans 4, & Hebrews 11 (i.e., justification by faith ALONE for Old Testament saints like Abraham, David, Noah etc...) is NOT true.
They are essentially calling Paul. Who wrote 2/3 of The New Testament, a false prophet.
But we know w/ 100% certainty that what Paul believed & taught (i.e., ALL OT Saints were saved by God's grace alone & justified by faith ALONE in the Coming Messiah Alone) Whom ALL the OT prophets prophesied would come (Jesus) and NOT OF WORKS in EVERY dispensation from Genesis to Revelation, is 100% INERRANT, INFALLIBLE & AUTHORITATIVE God inspired 100% revealed TRUTH!!!!
Period!
And this has Gospel implications TODAY because many who teach that OT saints were saved by works also teach people will be saved by works during the Tribulation and if we love those who will be left behind we want to tell them the ONLY way to be saved (i.e., believing The Gospel ALONE which will be preached by the 144,000 Jewish witnesses and the "2 witnesses"...most likely Elijah & Moses).
