Punta Gorda Police FIREARM SAFETY LESSON LEARNED?
*****ALWAYS TREAT EVERY GUN AS IF IT WERE LOADED*****
Mary Knowlton dead after she played the intruder
Mary Knowlton gave her life for ours
It's a horrific time for the police department there
Accidents do happen and when they do it's best not to hate the police. They are there to protect us and risk their lives each and every day they are on duty. So this Florida woman was shot and killed during a police training drill and still OFFICER SAFETY is the top priority. She played the part of an intruder in this drill and there was accidentally a live round that was fired from a gun of a police officer that killed her.
Now when accidents happen apart from police training drills We the People are reminded if there was no gun involved these things would not happen. So accidents that happen involving police friendly fire are acceptable and forgivable. But accidents that happen involving civilians are treated much more harshly:
So I was just wondering if there's a lesson learned here about GUN CONTROL? Do the POLICE know how to control their guns? What ever happened to GUN SAFETY and PROPER GUN HANDLING? How come no one ever talks about GUN SAFETY and proper handling of real firearms?
REMEMBER: ALWAYS TREAT EVERY GUN AS IF IT WERE LOADED.
