It all boils down to staffing issues on a job where more people are needed: Where the government needs staffing they cut back. Where they don't need staffing you have nothing but a crowd of useless workers. Make sense? I used to work at that tower and I know the inside story. :-) This isn't the first time that happened but over the years the cutbacks on that profession are leaving it wide open for disaster. Wake up FAA your upper management needs an overhaul! Your workers are indeed tired out from "quick turn" rotating shifts. And that is no place to be tired out:
