Is it OK for you to lie to your children?

Pastor Dave in Texas tells the truth about Santa:

It's amazing that people become unglued about telling their children the truth about this fake foolish Santa Claus. They also seem to like the Tooth Fairy and during Easter the love the Easter Bunny and for some reason believe that bunnies lay eggs. Very strange traditions that need a second look.

And why does the truth about Christmas and Easter threaten your life of lies? Would you rather live a lie and lie to your children? I thought we teach our children not to lie?
