The VIX is dead
There's no need for the VIX anymore:
I think many ETF's ETN's and other INDEXES have increased market complexity and the accuracy of these instruments has been destroyed by intense shorting against their usual dynamic. We will likely see the falling apart of many market instruments to the point where the market will be very difficult to judge and apply useful technical and fundamental analysis:
