ALGAE BLOOM even on the beaches of Florida

Reeking oozing ALGAE closes south Florida beaches:

The ALGAE BLOOM can have some serious health effects. We are having an ALGAE BLOOM now on inland lakes here across much of Wisconsin and the water is very green:

Is this normal? Or is it getting worse than usual?
