A message to Americans from The White House

In the message this week, Katherine Vargas talks about the President's commitment to combating the threat of climate change. The effects of climate change can not be ignored or denied. Climate change makes them larger health disparities across the country, threatening low-income communities and minorities who suffer disproportionately from chronic health conditions. Climate change poses risks to our national security, our economy and our public health. The president has already taken historic steps to address climate change, but no more than the United States and the international community can do. That's why next Wednesday at the Earth Day, the President will visit the Florida Everglades to talk about the threat that climate change poses to our economy and the world.
