There's a major run on Potassium Iodide and Potassium Iodate depending on which one you trust is safe to ingest because both have been reported to be safe and both have been reported to be harmful. There is a report that the U.S. Military ordered a very large quantity of supplies of Potassium Iodide two weeks prior to the large Japan earthquake.
